BBC Radio Circle Scottish Area childrens hour club badge

A scarce original circa 1932 'B.B.C.Radio Circle badge'; gilded brass title circlet inlaid with blue enamel, the centre depicting a clock set at a quarter past five on white enamel ground, with 'SCOTTISH' area fixed scroll below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Miller 118 Branston St. B'Ham' 'Regd 779089' a registered, design and patent date of 1932. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage ro the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example.

From 1923 the 'British Broadcasting Company' formed Radio Circles, they were clubs for Children's Hour listeners. A membership fee was paid and a badge was given. The BBC decided to end the Radio Circles in 1934.
