SS Empress of Canada C P Ships badge c1961-1971
A scarce original circa 1961 to 1971 period 'Empress of Canada Canadian Pacific Line badge'; small black enamel title surround bearing new look green houseflag to gilt centre introduced in 1968. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter 23mm.
Empress of Canada was the last passenger ship to be built for Canadian Pacific's Liverpool to Montreal service. In 1968 the houseflag colour scheme was changed together with a new funnel design.
In 1972 she was sold to 'Carnival Cruise Line' Panama and renamed 'Mardi Gras'.
