A scarce original First World War period 'Metropolitan Special Constabulary Chief Inspector police cap badge'; fine quality possibly lightly silvered bronze crowned title circlet, with Royal Arms to centre, the crown inlaid with correct blue VITREOUS enamelling. Very good condition, complete with two loop fittings to wear in a cap.
