Marconi short wave radio, marine communications, wireless telegraph badge

A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Marconi officially numbered pin badge'; gilt brass disc, displaying the Internationally recognised logo, a dark blue enamel 'M' on white ground, with the light blue globe with lightning bolt superimposed across the centre; the reverse impressed with official issue number '5777' and maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example.
