A very scarce original Second World War period Canadian made 'British Red Cross Society & Order of St John silver war worker badge' in the form of a shield, bearing the the joint war organisation the 'British Red Cross Society & Order of St John' emblem and inscribed NEWFOUNDLAND below; the reverse impressed 'Sterling Silver' and with maker's details 'BIRKS'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
