WWI War Service Australia 1918 silver pin badge by Thomas Fattorini

A scarce First World War period 'War Service Australia' silver and enamel badge, the centre depicting a map of Australia with superimposed crowned rising sun, the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1918 and maker's details 'T.F' (Thomas Fattorini, Birningham). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

The War Service for Australia badge was issued from circa 1916 to civilian members of staff working at AIF Australian Imperial Force Headquarters in Horseferry Road, London.
