National Savings Schools Member celluloid tin button badge
A scarce original pre 1953 voluntary worker 'National Savings Schools Member cream celluloid tin button badge' displaying blue printed title surround with red patriotic King George VI crown to the centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Diameter 23mm.
In March 1940 permission was obtained from H.M. The King to incorporate the crown into a National Savings emblem, designed to give the movement a more distinct identity. This was subsequently used extensively on all forms of publicity from leaflets to flags.
