A scarce original pre First World War period 'National Reserve London home front badge' large pattern oval title, Crown to voided centre, the reverse impressed with Birmingham Silver hallmarks for 1911, maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London' and 'Rd No. 579118' a Registered Design and Patent date of 1911. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting.
Height 34mm.

'National Reserve London' silver badges have been seen with both 1911 and 1912 hallmarks.
