WW1 Graylingwell War Hospital Voluntary War Service 1919 SILVER tribute badge
A scarce original circa 1919 period fine quality silver tribute badge, in the form of a red enamel title surround 'Voluntary War Service 1915 -1919, the white enamel centre bearing blue shield with six Martlets, a mythical bird from the East Sussex County Coat of Arms, with additional title bar above 'Graylingwell War Hospital'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1919 and maker's details 'T.F' (Thomas Fattorini ). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect. An excellent example.
