WW1 Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia badge c1920's

A scarce original large early issue circa 1920's period 'Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia numbered badge'; King George V crowned large gilt shield inlaid with white enamel bearing blue title circlet, with centre portraying a sailor and a soldier with rifles at the ready in relief on gilt seeded ground, with red ribbon scroll below inscribed 'Australia'; the reverse with maker's details 'Stokes & Sons Melbourne' and impressed with official issue number '26971'. Very good condition, complete with two original horizontal loop fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel. An excellent example.
