WW1 City of Prahran Red Cross 1917 badge by Stokes & Sons Melbourne Australia

A rare original First World War period 'City of Prahran Red Cross 1917 badge'; gilt brass example in the form of a red cross with title circlet, the centre bearing the 'Royal Arms' over 'DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and my right ) SPECTE MUR AGENDO' scrolls; the reverse is impressed with maker's details 'Stokes & Sons Melb'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings and retaining its original hand painted enamel.
