Cyclists Touring Club CTC cycle wheel membership badge

A rare original circa 1910 period 'Cyclists' Touring Club gilt and enamel badge', in the form of a Crowned cycle wheel bearing the 'CTC' logo on blue enamel ground, within a white enamel voided title surround; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Hockley St Birmingham Ltd'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no enamel loss, minor stress lines to surround.
Diameter 25mm.

In 1910 H.M. King George V was appointed the first Royal Patron of the 'Cyclists Touring Club' and a small Crown was added to the logo.
