WW1 County Borough of Hyde 1915 Special Constable police badge

A scarce original First World War period 'County Borough of Hyde Special Constable police badge'; large gilt and blue enamel title circlet, bearing Crowned 1915 scroll, the centre displaying in relief the former Borough of Hyde in coloured enamels; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Medalist Bolton'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, gilt finish remains bright, enamel with minor nick in the 5 o'clock position, otherwise an excellent example.
