Blackburn Royal Infirmary Trained Nurse silver badge

A scarce original circa 1947 period 'Blackburn Royal Infirmary trained nurse badge' in the form of a cross inlaid with blue enamel, the central recessed disc, bearing a red enamel cross on seeded backing, with arched scroll inscribed with Biblical text 'The Lord that healeth thee'; the reverse impressed 'Sterling' and privately engraved with name and the year 1947. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, an old incorrect replacement pin fitted which has been bent to secure more leverage, service wear to enamel.
