A rare original 1st pattern 'Boy Scouts officer's silver hat badge', arrowhead in circle, no stars, resting on a 'Be Prepared' ribbon scroll; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmaks for 1911, maker's details 'JAW&C' (J.A.Wylie & Co) and registered, design and patent number 'Rd535092' for the year 1909. Fair condition, complete with two original loop fittings, bristle plume now ABSENT, heavy distortion to ring surround, price reflects.
