Thank offering to the Hartlepools Hospitals DLI Durham RGA 1914 Bombardment Medal

A very scarce original Great War period 'Hartlepools Hospitals Bombardment medal, given to all those people who contributed to a collection made in Hartlepool in 1915; in the form of a large oval gilt metal badge surmounted by a Red Cross shield, the centre depicting an embossed scene of the attack by a squadron of German battlecruisers on the town, within a blue enamel title surround inscribed 'Thank Offering To Hartlepools Hospitals For Services Rendered Dec 16th 1914.' flanked by 'D.L.I (Durham Light Infantry) and D.R.G.A (Durham Royal Garrison Artillery)'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
