Royal Air Force RAF Station Muharraq Bahrain badge

A scarce original circa 1963 to 1971 period 'Royal Air Force Station Muharraq gilt and enamel badge', depicting a 'Dhow sailing vessel' with Latin motto 'In Sole Laborate' (Work in the sun). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor service wear.
Height 34mm.

Established as RAF Bahrain in 1943, the airfield was renamed RAF Muharraq in 1963 and finally closed 1971.
