Salford Royal Hospital silver nurses badge

A scarce original circa 1947 period unnamed 'Salford Royal Hospital nurses badge' the former Coat of Arms from the 'City of Salford with motto 'Integrity and Industry superimposed over a green enamel cross'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1947 and maker's details 'J.F' (James Fenton & Co). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact, but with bruises and stress lines to three arms of the cross and service wear to high points.
