Gloucester City Cycling Club gilt and enamel badge

A scarce original circa 1940's vintage period ' Cycling Club badge' in the form of an ornate voided winged cycle wheel inscribed 'Founded 1891', with superimposed shield from the 'Gloucester City Arms' depicting red enamel chevrons, roundels and surmounted by a demi-Lion rising from a Mural Crown holding a Broadsword in its paw. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
