A scarce original vintage period 'Stockport School of Nursing badge'; inlaid with fine quality green enamel, the seeded gilt centre bearing a cross in relief with 'Rod of Asclepius' and between each arm an Heraldic Cross within a lozenge (from the ancient family of Stockport). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety catch in good working order, no damage to the enamel.
