A rare original circa 1940's period 'Charles Weston and Co Ltd gilt and enamel numbered badge' in the form of a white enamel eagle superimposed over a red enamel 'V' for victory sign, resting in a blue enamel title scroll, the reverse impressed with official low issue number '258'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact, gilt finish remains bright.

Charles Weston & Company Limited of Torrington Avenue, Coventry were 'Oil sealing engineers' but became 'Aircraft Industry Suppliers' for the Air Ministry in 1939 and throughout the war.
