Morris Motors Ltd Service School lapel badge Cowley Oxford circa 1930's

A scarce original pre war circa 1930's period 'Morris Motors Ltd car and lorry manufacturers badge' in the form of a large silver plated shield inlaid with blue enamel inscribed 'Morris Motors Ltd Service School', the central logo, a red oxen crossing the River Thames, superimposed with a 'Torch of Knowledge'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham' (a manufacturers mark used between 1933 and 1939). Good condition, complete with original buttonhole horseshoe style lapel fitting, the central logo with heavy damage to the enamel.
