Air Defence Cadet Corps cap lapel badge

A good original circa 1938 to 1941 period 'Air Defence Cadet Corps lapel badge'; chromium plated title circlet, stylised electric blue enamel 'speedbird' emblem to voided centre. Very good condition, complete with original horseshoe style buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, minimal wear.
Diameter 18mm.

The 'Air Defence Cadet Corps' was founded in 1938, as a volunteer youth organisation to encourage young people to join the RAF. It was replaced in 1941 by the Air Training Corps.
