WW1 Queen’s West Surrey Regiment silver war badge

A good original First World War period 'Silver War Badge officially issue numbered 'B73456' awarded to '30437 Private John R Smith'; unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Diameter 33mm.

30437 Private John R Smith of the Queen’s West Surrey Regiment enlisted on the 12th May 1917. After landing in France he was reported wounded on the 21st October 1918 and was discharged with the award of the Silver War Badge on the 23rd December 1918.
