Girl Guides Queens Guide Award gilt and enamel badge
A very scarce post 1953 'Queen's Guide Award badge'; gilt brass and enamel example surmounted by a Queen Elizabeth II Crown; the reverse with embossed 'Girl Guides Reg Trade Mark' and maker's details 'Collins London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height 37mm.
The 'Queen's Guide Award' was introduced in 1946 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were on the throne. The pattern of Crown changed in 1953 when Queen Elizabeth II became Queen.
