EIIR Royal Observer Corps ROC lapel badge

A good original early post 1953 cold war period silver plated home front badge, with pale blue enamel title circlet 'Forewarned is Forearmed Royal Observer Corps', surmounted by a Queen's Crown, the centre depicting an Elizabethan coastwatcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
