Great Ormond Street Hospital Peter Pan League fundraising badge circa 1930's
A scarce original circa 1930's 'Peter Pan League fundraising badge', silver plated circular example depicting 'Peter Pan' a fictional character of 'The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up' within an black enamel horseshoe title surround, the reverse impressed with early pattern maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford House Birmingham' (circa 1928 –1932 ). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minimal wear.

The 'Peter Pan League' was formed in 1929 as a fundraiser for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children, the subscription for membership cost one shilling for which you received a badge, certificate and a monthly magazine.
Peter Pan was created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie and first appeared as a character in Barrie's 'The Little White Bird' (1902).
He appeared in silent films and Disney animated films, as well as television series, to mention a few.
