WW2 East Sussex Special Constable police reserve numbered badge
A scarce original Second World War period 'Special Constable gilt and enamel badge', the shield bearing the arm from the 'County of East Sussex' (granted in 1937) which depicts six martlets below a Saxon Crown; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham' and official issue number '954'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel intact but with underlying minor stress marks, gilt finish remains bright.
