A scarce original Second War period WRNS officer's hat badge, padded light blue cotton embroidered wreath, silvered metal fouled anchor to the centre, surmounted by a red velvet and gold wire King's Crown, the reverse with black hessian cotton backing and retailers paper label 'Stephen Simpson Gold & Silver Lace Manufacturer and Embroiderer Avenham Rd Works, Preston'. Good used condition. service wear and minor fading.
