BBC Radio Circle North Area childrens club membership badge
A good original circa 1930's 'B.B.C.Radio Circle badge'; gilded brass title circlet inlaid with blue enamel, the centre depicting a rising sun in gold translucent enamel with rabbit and bird on green ground to the fore, with 'NORTH' area swing title suspended below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Miller 118 Branston St B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.

From 1923 the 'British Broadcasting Company' formed Radio Circles, they were clubs for Children's Hour listeners. A membership fee was paid and a badge was given. The BBC decided to end the Radio Circles in 1934.
