WW1 BRCS & Order of St John Essex overseas war service badge

A very scarce original First World War period 'County of Essex St John Ambulance War Service gilt and enamel badge', depicting the emblem of the joint war organisation the 'British Red Cross Society & Order of St John', the reverse impressed with official issue number '4371'. Very good mint condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.
