National Nursery Examination Board silver plated badge

A scarce original early oxidised silver plated badge with green enamel for 'The National Nursery Examination Board 1945', the reverse with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London' and impressed with official low issue number '403'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height 26mm.

'The National Nursery Examination Board' was founded in 1945 and merged in 1994 along with the 'Council for Early Years Awards' to become 'The Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education'.
