A rare original First World War period 'Phelon & Moore Ltd 1914 1915 official on war service gilt and enamel war workers badge'; the reverse impressed with partial obscured maker's details 'Toye & Co. London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Diameter 26mm.

'Phelon & Moore Ltd' manufactured motorcycles in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire from 1904 to 1967 particularly those under the Panther name. The Royal Flying Corps used Phelon & Moore motorcycles during the First World War.
