A rare original 1933 to 1934 'London Aeroplane Club membership badge'; gilt and enamel example, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Skinners & Co 34 Old Bond Street London W.1.' and with official issue 'No 303'. Excellent condition, enamel perfect, and complete with original cord.
Diameter 34mm.

The 'London Aeroplane Club' was opened by Sir Philip Sassoon in 1925. He was Secretary of State for Air, Honorary Commanding Officer of 601 (County of London) Squadron, nicknamed 'The Millionaires' Squadron.
