Girl Guides Our Chalet WAGGGS stick or staff badge

A good original 'Girl Guides Our Chalet vintage badge'; thin alloy die-stamped example, designed to be shaped around the stick and attached by pins via each end, displaying a panoramic view of the International Girl Guide centre situated in the Bernese Alps; impressed to the front with maker's details 'PeKa'. Very good unused condition.
Height 22mm.

In 1929 the WAGGGS decided to build a World Centre for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide. 'Our Chalet' was founded in 1932 by Helen Storrow and opened the same year. It is situated in the Bernese Alps Oberland, Switzerland.
