WW1 Cochrane & Co Ltd shipbuilders 1915 on war service badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Cochrane & Co Ltd 1915 on war work gilt and enamel lapel badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Bolton and 'Reg.638232' a registered, design and patent date of 1914. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Diameter 28mm.

During the First World War 'Cochrane & Co Ltd' Selby North Yorkshire made steam trawlers for the Admiralty which were deployed as minesweeper, gunboats and barges.
