State Certified Midwife wartime issue nurses qualification badge

A scarce wartime issue 'State Certified Midwife' silver plated badge', depicting the symbolic figure of 'Juno Lucina' Roman goddess of childbirth within a blue enamel title surround; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham', "REGd No.725933" and inscribed 'E.Asquith 114049. 30-6-45". Very good condition, complete with original suspension ring fitting and full length neck cord, no damage to the enamel, minor service wear to silver plating.
