Certified Midwife 1922 qualification badge

A scarce original early pattern issue without the 'State' in the title, silver plated example depicting the symbolic figure of 'Juno Lucina' Roman goddess of childbirth within a blue enamel title surround 'Certified Midwife', the reverse with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Hockley St Birmingham Ltd' (moved from this address in 1927) 'REGd No.725933' and inscribed 'G.Prew. 57555. 10-6-22.'. Very good condition, minor ding to the enamel in the 11 o'clock position, complete with original suspension ring, neck cord now absent.
