London Transport Central Road Services Flying Club winged bus badge

A scarce original circa 1950's 'London Transport Flying Club badge'; small gilded brass example depicting a London Transport double decker bus flanked by finely feathered wings, with 'Flying L.T (C.R.S) Club' scroll below inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Width 28mm.

The 'London Transport Flying Club' LTFC was formed as the 'London General Omnibus Company' LGOC in 1933. The War Department granted the club permission to operate from Fairoaks Airport in 1947 for services rendered during the war.
