J.J.Habershon & Sons Holmes Mills Rotherham badge

A scarce original circa late 1920's period badge for the steel manufacturers 'J.J.Habershon & Sons' works based in 'Holmes Mills Rotherham'. Gilded brass circular example inlaid with blue enamel, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' and official issue number '2305'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel perfect, gilt finish remains bright.

In 1920 J.J.Habershon & Sons Ltd was formed, It made steel strips, sheets and sections for pen nibs, cycle wheel rims and for the motorcycle and car industries. During the Second World War they made a extensive contribution to the aircraft industry.
