Royal National Lifeboat Institution RNLI silver award badge by Garrard

A scarce original 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution RNLI presentation badge'; fine quality circular example mounted with crossed oars, the white enamel title surround bearing fouled anchor to centre on blue enamel ground; the reverse impressed with London silver hallmarks for 1958, maker's details 'G & Co Ld' in trefoil (Garrard & Co London ) the Crown Jewellers and inscribed 'Presented To Mrs Murray of Tour In Recognition of Her Valuable Help 1957'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect.
