London Transport central bus crew pre 1950s cap badge

A scarce original pre 1950's period 'London Transport nickel plated Driver and Conductor cap badge' inlaid with blue and white enamel and depicting the early feature spearhead dots; the reverse impressed with maker's details in relief 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, enamel with very minor service wear.
Height 37mm.

The 'London Transport Standard cap badge' was issued from 1934 up until the 1987. In the late 1950's the finish was changed from nickel plating to chromium plating.
