Lawrence Wright ON WITH THE SHOW promotional badge

A rare original circa 1930's "On with the show advertising badge', gilded brass title bar 'Lawrence Wright' inlaid with white enamel from which suspends a blue enamel disc 'On With The Show'. Very good condition, complete with early pattern pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt finish remains bright.
Height 37mm.

Lawrence Wright was a British popular music composer and publisher and from 1924 until 1956 he became the promoter for the record-breaking 'On With The Show' musical at the Pavilion Theatre, North Pier, Blackpool.
