A scarce original wartime period 'US Marine Commission home front pin badge'; gilded bronze eagle bearing an embossed anchor and hand painted red enamel title scroll 'Ships for Victory' across his chest; the reverse impressed with patent number 'Des. Pat. 131446', maker's details 'A.E. Co. Utica N.Y.' and initials 'IBCWU' (Interstate Brass and Copper Workers Union). Fair condition, origiinal gilt finish worn back to copper on the obverse.
