National Federation of the Womens Institutes For Home & Country WI badge

A good original circa 1930's 'National Federation of the Women's Institutes badge', gilded brass oval, the fretted centre bearing the 'WI' monogram, flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with motto 'For Home and Country' inlaid in green enamel; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham' (a marking used between 1933 and 1939). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright.
