General Post Office GPO postmans cap badge

A scarce original early post 1953 vintage period 'General Post Office postman's cap badge'; large oval die-stamped japanned brass example with embossed 'GPO' surmounted by Elizabeth II crown with chromium overlay; central voided band bearing an applied chrome postmans identification number '941'. Very good condition, complete with two original round end blades, minimal wear.
