Polytechnic Cycling Club 1947 silver TT prize medal

A superb original 'Polytechnic Cycling Club badge' with embossed 'Saint George and the Dragon' to the centre within an enamelled title surround and dated 1947; the reverse impressed with London silver hallmarks for 1947 and maker's detail 'LS.Ld' (Louis Simpson Ltd London.) and inscribed 'F. Finnimore. 12 Hrs T.T. 207mls, 1154yds. Very good condition, complete with ring suspension, no damage to the enamel.
