RAF No 617 Squadron The Dambusters Royal Air Force Badge c1940s

A rare original George VI period 'RAF No 617 Squadron gilt and enamel badge', depicting the bursting of a dam, in commemoration of 'Operation Chastise', bearing French motto 'Apres Moi Le Deluge' (After me the flood), the reverse with maker's details 'H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright, an excellent example.
