WW1 Victory Medal & Territorial Nursing Service Matron J.E.Hills RRC
A scarce First World War period pair of medals awarded to Matron Jessie Ethel Hills RRC. In 1913 she was working as the Matron at the Hatton Hospital in Yorkshire and at the outbreak of the Great War volunteered her services to the Territorial Nursing Service. In 1918 she was Matron of the No.1 Base Hospital part of the Portuguese General Hospital. For her services she was awarded the Royal Red Cross and the Potuquese Order of Christ.
Good condition, complete with original ribbons.
