Northamptonshire Federation of the Women's Institutes WI badge

A rare original circa 1920's 'Northamptonshire Federation of the Women's Institutes badge', gilded brass shield inlaid with blue enamelling, the centre depicting the old 'Arms of Northampton' Castle on red enamel ground, the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' (a pattern used between 1908 and 1928). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
Height 31mm.
Together with a later period green enamel ribbon bar. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
